It's been a loonngg time since the last post. A lot has happened to the three of us... well mostly, to Asyraaf I guess. He came down with high fever the night I last posted in this blog. I never thought that night would turn into 4 days of hospitalization...

One look at Asyraaf the paed told us Asyraaf needed to be warded. He was too weak to even feed, staring blankly around him. After taken samples of blood from, we were asked to go take x-ray of Asyraaf's lungs. Then he was warded about two hours later ( the hospital was packed!!We had to wait until the room is vacated...). Every three hours Asyraaf was given nebulizers and checked his temperature till his fever broke.

The paed told us his lungs had 'cottonwool-like' phlegm in his lungs and evidently his phlegm has managed to get into his lungs and has infected them. So Asyraaf was given antibiotics along with many other medications by tube. A few days later he was discharged. I thought it was odd that Asyraaf was discharged since I could still hear wheezing sounds coming out of him but...that was what the paed said... so we packed and went home and continued life's ritual as usual, the nursery, office and home not knowing...to be continued...
