Feedin' Time Bebeh...

Asyraaf started quite late for his feeding, I mean feeding aka spoonfed food ie: baby cereal, baby rusks, custards, porridges or etc...I started with Gerber prune extract...and Asyraaf went...Yuckk! :-). Then I tried giving him Nestle Baby cereal rice with milk...and again, he went yuckk! too...

After giving up for sometime...I had this determination to make him eat no matter what since he was already 7 months and still relying on formula and nestum put in his milk, and I was worried. But at least I know he takes his milk regularly so I'm not worried he is undernourished. It's just that I would like to introduce him to other diets as well. So I went and studied all the baby food available at the baby section in the supermarket. Then I decided to buy Gerber Vanilla Custard...and prayed he would like it...

And walla...he loved it...I thought he would since he has the tendency to sweet things... uhmm.. I wonder who gets it from...;-)

Then I proceeded to buy him baby rusks and bought this...

And he loves it too...now I am trying to introduce him rice or at least porridge for his diet...slowly... I did ask his carer to feed him once, and guess what...? He threw up...well... we'll try again...no worries... This is my first experience and it is a good feeling you get when you know your child is feeding and eating well. I am however, a bit sad that I am not a homemaker who can tend to her child day and night and cook up everything for her child...but compromises has to be made I guess... But I try...as much as I can...during the weekends and whenever possible to try new foods...well...Insya-Allah...we'll manage...:-). He's healthy, weighing God knows how much, haven't been to the paed for quite some time after his hospitalization, burping and farting all the time...sometimes simultaneously...* sigh. But he's a happy boy and pretty much pleasant in disposition I think...so I guess we did do SOMETHING right after all...:-)... I hope we did...

Anyway, we welcome any suggestions on introducing baby foods, maybe some creative ones also if you have any...we can try it on Asyraaf...so long as it's healthy diet...there's nothing wrong with trying...right...? So fellow bloggers...suggest away...:-)
