New fetish of Asyraaf's

Yesterday, we found him doing this...religiously too...:-) Hence the sucking sounds we've been hearing lately from him...He was sucking on his upper arm! Actually, he never got to do that before this maybe becoz he couldn't reach it but now that he can...Hmm...he never stops...We thought he was hungry and tried giving him milk but he is more interested in doing this instead...:-)

It is a fascination to see the development of babies...I think they are the fastest developing creatures with the ability to heal very fast. They are actually more durable than u think! With minds that can absorp almost anything, we could see his interest in colours, sounds and even talking...I am actually sad that I may not be able to be there to be the first person to see Asyraaf's firsts... first turnover, first sit up, first word maybe...I might be at work or anywhere else for that matter...But again, there are sacrifices that need to be done. I hope Allah blesses our sacrifices for our loved ones...I was actually miserable the first few days, missing the days where I can wake up and look into Asyraaf's eyes and wait on Munir to come home. My biggest fear was if Asyraaf will not recognize me anymore now that I am no longer around all the time. But now alhamdulillah, I think it was just me being sensitive and trying to adapt...*sigh.

And yes, this is the new collection of Asyraaf's 'bring-home souvenirs'...:-)

On top of, colds, flus, fever, eyesore and the latest...this one from his nursery. We were told one of his friend did it to him...since he is one the youngest baby around and not mobile yet...he get to have this...hehe. But takpelah...lelaki...kena lasak sikit :-). That's one of the downsides of nursery I guess... prone to get the colds, flus and fever from the others. Maybe some of you out there may have some suggestion to this predicament of ours...we like the nursery but then asyraaf has been in and out of the clinic quite often now I reckon...and as a mother of course I worry...suggestions anyone...?

This Ramadhan, we are adjusting quite well I guess. I have been travelling up and down from Mantin to Bukit Jalil via the PLUS Highway for quite some time now...and I think, I am getting better adapted to it. I still sleep early though, I'll be knocked out by 9 or 10 pm...Only wake up occasionally during the night to look on Asyraaf. Even Asyraaf is sleeping better now, one night he even slept from 8 pm till the next morning straight! For all new parents, I think u know how rare that can happen...:-) I even checked to see if Asyraaf was still breathing! *LOL

Alhamdulillah, everything's is getting better now, economically, me, Munir and Asyraaf. I even cook more since I started working...hehe. I know2, it's supposed to be the other way around but maybe I'm trying to compensate for the lack of my being around for my family that when I get home I try to make up for it. And I am lucky Munir is very understanding, help me with the dishes, washing the clothes when I was flat out...Makes the responsibility of being a wife a lot ligter on the shoulders i guess...:-)
